Montessori Curriculum
We take pride in ensuring that all of our materials and furniture are resourced through Montessori entrusted providers. SWA invests in Sprouts Kids furniture and subscribes to the Monti Kids curriculum. To learn more, visit montikids.com. In addition, SWA will provide families with a catalog of our monthly themes and daily activities schedule.
Play
Montessori’s philosophy is centered around play and believes that our children learn through play, particularly in those early years. Outdoor play is essential for the development of our little ones. We value outdoor play as it helps children develop their gross motor skills and helps them understand and appreciate the order, harmony, and beauty in nature. In addition, children will engage in sensory play as they partake in activities that stimulate all their senses. These sensory activities will facilitate exploration and naturally encourage children play, create, investigate, and explore.
Bilingual Learning
At SWA, our children will be immersed in a bilingual learning environment through books, music, speaking, and writing opportunities. The teacher is fluent in both Arabic & English, so expect your children to embrace the Arabic language and culture at school.
Our Mission
Our mission is to help our children develop a positive attitude about school, help each child develop self confidence, assist each child in building a habit of concentration, develop habits of initiative and persistence, and foster inner security and a sense of order in our children.
Our Goals
Our goals at Small Wonders Academy are to develop the whole personality of the child based on a strong belief in the spontaneous working of the human intellect.
Three of our principles are observation, individual liberty, and the preparation of the environment. These principles, and their various practical expressions with children, are what will help prepare our little ones as they grow into adolescence and adulthood.
